Brown's Corners Locksmith Pros
Who answers when you call
Much of our work is in older houses, where the doors have settled, the frames are not quite square and the hardware has been changed three or four times over the decades. We like these jobs.
They ask for judgement rather than a catalogue number: how to fit a modern deadbolt to a door that was never drilled for one, how to keep a period handle while making the lock behind it dependable. Our technicians carry the shims, fillers and odd-sized parts these houses need, and they take the time to get the alignment right. The result is a door that closes with one hand and locks without a shove, which is what an old house deserves.

Practical locksmithing for real doors.
Condo and apartment work has its own etiquette. We coordinate with the property manager, respect the building's existing key system rather than cutting across it, and match finishes so a new suite lock does not stand out in a hallway of identical doors. Common areas, bike rooms and parcel lockers each have hardware chosen for heavy shared use, and we service those too.
The key you reach for. The door you come home to. Good locksmith work begins with understanding how you use them.

- Explained before any tool comes out. You will hear what we found, what we suggest and why, before anything is changed. If you want a minute to think, take it.
- Choices, not a single answer. Most problems have more than one fix. We lay out the practical options and the trade-offs, then let you choose the one that fits your home and budget.
- A tidy doorstep. Shavings swept, packaging taken away, the old hardware offered to you or disposed of. The only sign we were there is a lock that works.
How a visit goes
Describe the property, the hardware and what has changed, and the visit starts from what you have seen.

01
A look inside the keyway
We check how deep the fragment sits and whether the cylinder was already worn or dry. That tells us how to draw the piece out without pushing it further.

02
Drawing the piece out
With extraction tools and patience the broken blade comes out whole. We clean and lubricate the cylinder so the next key goes in smoothly.

03
Cutting a fresh key
A key that snapped was usually tired. We cut a new one from the two halves or from the lock itself, test it and suggest retiring any other worn copies.
